In the last year, I've started doing the covers for ASJA Monthly magazine. ASJA is the American Association of Journalists and Authors and the magazine is read by writers, editors and agents so I was excited about the work. And we are already seeing some success. My first cover so excited the people in charge at the ASJA that they started printing them in color (previously they were b/w.) The first was a cover article on ghost writing (with an interior illustration) and the second was for a story on medical writing. It was nice to see kidlit agent, Jamie Weiss Chilton, titled on the same issue.
Stay tuned as more are coming...
I love this medical cover. My favorite thing about your illustrations is how many funny, clever, tiny details you put into it. It's also my favorite kind of illustration, where you get a pay-off for REALLY looking at the page:) Yay!
