What started as probably the toughest concept I've had to illustrate for this writers' magazine ended up with a fun solution. The lead article was by a writer / photographer who was able to improve his career by combining these talents on assignments. One of the roughs I sent to the designer and the editor was using the idea of it being a marriage of talents, and I would depict that wedding. I even suggested a new title of "The Marriage of Writing and Photography." Every one was agreed and I started painting. For me, the concept really came together when I added the little flower girl and ring bearer.
