My friend, Sara Wilson Etienne, has had her first novel, The Harbinger, published by Putnam and it hits bookstores next Spring. As part of the launch, a gang of illustrators all got early copies and have created illustrations of her creation. Currently there is a blog displaying the collection of images and there will be a gallery show of the originals early next year.
I've been sitting on this illustration for a while, wanting to share it, but not wanting to spoil the plans. At last I can share! And no, none of the illustrations will be a spoiler for the book.

The book is a YA fantasy sort of novel and allowed me to work a little differently and a little darker than I normally do. I like to switch up my game from time to time so this was a really fun one to work on.
Are there other things in the vault that I'm holding back to share later? You bet!
